Junhan Lee, Vice President for Planning at Incheon National University (INU), led by President Injae Lee, attended the 28th Convergence Academic Conference of the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration at Jeju Shinhwa World on August 20 and delivered a presentation titled “University Innovation Strategies for the AI Era.”

The conference was held from August 18 to 20 and brought together researchers and professionals in business administration and related fields. This year’s program included presentations and discussions on a variety of academic and practical topics.

On the final day of the conference, Vice President Lee participated as a presenter in a session on the WURI Rankings. Representatives from Korean universities, including Taejae University and Seoul National University, also took part in the session. INU presented its activities under the theme “University Innovation Strategies for the AI Era,” and participating universities shared examples and ideas from their respective institutions.

In his presentation, Vice President Lee explained that AI can be used not only in education and administrative work but also across a wide range of university activities. He introduced INU’s university-wide AI infrastructure and task-specific applications and emphasized the importance of reorganizing work processes, managing data effectively, and maintaining appropriate review procedures when applying AI.

Incheon National University ranked tied for fifth in the world in the 2026 WURI (World University Rankings for Innovation), the highest position among Korean universities. INU moved up four places from ninth in the previous year.

“In the AI era, what matters is not simply how many new technologies a university introduces, but how effectively they are applied to actual university activities,” said Vice President Lee. “Based on the experience INU has accumulated, we will continue to develop the use of AI in education, research, and administration and share relevant examples with other universities.”

Incheon National University plans to continue developing AI- and data-based applications across its education, research, and administrative activities and to expand related programs based on practical use within the university.
