
- 760 Bachelor’s, 155 Master’s, and 47 Doctoral Degree Recipients
Incheon National University (INU), led by President Injae Lee, held its “August 2026 Commencement Ceremony” at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 21, at the Main Auditorium on the university’s Songdo Campus.
A total of 962 students received degrees at the ceremony, including 760 bachelor’s, 155 master’s, and 47 doctoral degree recipients. Approximately 2,000 graduates, family members, and guests attended the event. Attendees included Hakjun Kim, Chair of the INU Board of Trustees; Chan-dae Park, Mayor of Incheon Metropolitan City; Sung-hoon Do, Superintendent of the Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education; Young-gil Song; Il-young Jeong; and Hae-yong Seo, President of the INU Alumni Association.
Following the academic report by Hee-chan Kang, Dean of Academic Affairs, congratulatory remarks were delivered by Chan-dae Park, Mayor of Incheon Metropolitan City; Sung-hoon Do, Superintendent of the Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education; Young-gil Song; Il-young Jeong; Hae-yong Seo, President of the INU Alumni Association; and Woo-sung Kim, an INU alumnus and member of the Incheon Metropolitan Council (Class of 2014, Life Sciences). The speakers congratulated the graduates on completing their studies and shared messages for their next steps. They also mentioned ongoing university activities related to medical education.
In his commencement address, INU President Injae Lee encouraged the graduates to value trust and the process of achieving their goals. He also expressed his gratitude to the parents, faculty members, and alumni who supported the students during their time at the university.
President Lee added, “I hope you become people whom others want to work with,” and encouraged the graduates to continue using the knowledge and experiences gained at Incheon National University in their future activities.
