Incheon National University and Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) announced that they successfully held the “1st Anti-Aging Knowledge Research Forum of 2026” on the 26th at the Innovation Center of the Michuhol Campus of Incheon National University.
This forum was organized in connection with the Regional Innovation System & Education (RISE) initiative and aimed to advance the bio industry—one of Incheon’s six strategic industries—while strengthening the regional collaboration network among government, industry, academia, and research institutions. About 50 experts, including representatives from the Incheon Metropolitan City Semiconductor Industry Team, Incheon Technopark (ITP), bio-related companies, and university researchers, attended the event, demonstrating strong interest in the development of the regional bio industry.
The event opened with an opening address by Young-mi Kwon, President of Nadamcos Co., Ltd., followed by a welcoming speech from Seong-yeol Kwon, President of Okadora Korea Co., Ltd. Key presentations included “Product Planning Focused on Cosmetic Consumers” by Seung-jung Kim, President of the Korea Beauty Industry Trade Association, and “The Role of Incheon City and ITP in the Development of the Incheon Cosmetics Cluster” by Jae-chun Kim, Center Director of Incheon Technopark. These sessions provided in-depth discussions on the latest market trends and policy support directions.
In particular, the forum drew attention as a “regional integrated collaboration model” that combines KISTI’s ASTI (Association of Science and Technology Information) data and technology infrastructure with Incheon National University’s research capabilities. Through this collaboration, the initiative aims to address technological challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises, while also supporting employment, entrepreneurship, and regional settlement opportunities for local talent—ultimately forming a practical cooperative ecosystem.
An official from Incheon National University stated, “The Anti-Aging Knowledge Research Forum will become a key hub for building a regional network connecting Incheon, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon,” adding that “through quarterly rotating meetings, we plan to achieve tangible outcomes such as securing national research projects and creating technological value.”
Meanwhile, the Anti-Aging Knowledge Research Forum will continue to be held four times annually across the wider regional area, strengthening the value-chain-based network of the bio (anti-aging) industry throughout the year.
