2025 Incheon Youth Academic Festival
Incheon National University (President In-jae Lee) and the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Sung-hoon Do) announced that they jointly hosted the “2025 Incheon Youth Academic Festival” on Saturday, October 18, at the Small Theater and Convention Center on INU’s Songdo Campus.
The festival was organized to help general high school students in the Incheon area strengthen their academic research capabilities and grow into future-ready talents equipped with essential competencies through inquiry-based learning activities.
In particular, this event served as a follow-up to the “2025 Academic Club Workshop” co-hosted by both institutions in July. It provided students with a meaningful platform to present the results of research projects conducted under the systematic guidance of university professors—creating a space for genuine communication and academic growth.
This year’s festival was held under the overarching theme of “Efforts to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”, featuring 40 academic club teams (151 high school students) from high schools across Incheon who presented their academic reports summarizing their research achievements.
According to a survey conducted among participating students, 90.2% responded that participating in the academic festival helped them in their career or major selection, indicating a high level of satisfaction and educational impact.
Pyung-won Kim, Dean of the College of Education at Incheon National University, remarked, “Academic activities that encourage students to identify problems on their own and explore solutions are valuable experiences that nurture their critical thinking skills. Incheon National University will continue to establish diverse support systems to contribute to the advancement of education in the Incheon region as a leading national university.”
