The LINC3.0 project group of Incheon National University (President Park Jong-tae) announced on December 4 that it held "2024 BTogether: Bioconvergence ICC Ji, Industrial, Academic, and Research Symposium" in the conference room of Incheon National University's Faculty Hall.
The symposium was organized as a venue to promote cooperation between local governments, government-funded research institutes, companies, and universities, and was an important event for networking for the spread of Incheon and the national bio-industry performance and regional innovation. The event began with the opening speech of Kim Kyu-won, head of Incheon National University's industry-academic cooperation team, and Park Jong-tae's welcoming speech.
Hwang Geum-sook, vice president of the Korea Institute of Basic Science Support (KBSI), a government-funded research institute, announced the introduction of the Korea Institute of Basic Science Support under the theme of "Building Bio Research Infrastructure and Industry-Academic Cooperation Research", equipment infrastructure, and plans to establish Songdo at the Seoul metropolitan area center. Yang Hyung-duk, managing director of Lotte Biologics, announced plans and development strategies for Songdo, a biopharmaceutical production infrastructure under the theme of "Introduction to Lotte Biologics," and Lee Won-jong, head of the Bio Convergence Business Collaboration Center at Incheon National University, presented a heated presentation on the development of next-generation biomaterials to create future food under the theme of "Bio R&D: Development of Next-Generation Biomaterials Based on Exosomes."
Incheon National University's LINC3.0 Project Group (Director: Kim Kyu-won) evaluated, "This symposium will be an important turning point in creating the value of Songdo-based bio-industry through cooperation between companies, universities, and research institutes, and enhancing the role of universities such as preparing for a regional innovation-oriented university support system (RISE) scheduled to start in 2025 and establishing bio-research infrastructure."
